Mr. Yongyot Harnsuvanich (2nd right), Vice President of ExxonMobil Exploration and Production Khorat Inc. (EMEPKI), presented a check for 200,000 baht to Dr. Wichai Asawapark (far left), Director of Nam Phong hospital and leader of Nam Phong Conservation Group, at Barn Bua Yai, Nam Phong district with Mr. Thanawat Ploysophon(2nd left), Deputy Khon Kaen Governor, also in attendance. The contribution is to support forest conservation and environmental awareness in the community on the occasion of World Environment Day, June 5, 2010.
In line with ExxonMobil’s policy on environmental conservation, the activity is aimed at protecting the forest covering an area of 20,000 rais under the custodianship of Air Force base no. 237 located in Nam Phong district, Khon Kaen. The program includes training sessions for villagers to realize the value of the forest and to help protect the surroundings from illegal encroachment.

Establishing environmental awareness takes time, particularly among adults. Realising that, the Energy Ministry is turning its focus to our children.

Who were the best equipped to cope with natural disasters and other crises? As we observed, most of them were large-sized companies which have closely observed CSR guidelines.
