  4. 13th Art for All camp starts

  5. Makro to hire 2,350 students for retail alliance project

  7. Ampol Food continues with recycling project

    Throughout the 14-month period, Ampol Food Processing Co Ltd has witnessed huge success from its UHT box recycle campaign.From April 2009 to June 2010, with cooperation from many institutions, over 10 million UHT box had been collected and sent to recycling plants. To date, 3,800 sets of school desks and chairs have been built on the boxes, aside from a school building. Altogether, as the boxes need no burning, this helps reduce carbon dioxide by 90,000 kg and garbage filling area by 400 square metre.

  10. Amway urges participation in its audio book project

    Amway for Thai Society Foundation and Amway Thailand are jointly bringing the ‘One by One: One Voice Brightens the World’ project of audio book production for visually-impaired children to its 7th year. Permission has been sought from nine publishers for this year’s production of 35 audio book titles while general individuals will be given the chance to contribute as readers, sharing the opportunity in education to visually-impaired people and schoolchildren in remote areas. Registration for an audio book reader’s training is now open until July 20.

  11. Thai team wins energy-efficiency race

    A Thai student team on July 10 won the Shell Eco-Marathon Asia competition by designing a prototype vehicle that could run 1,521.9 kilometres on a single litre of gasoline. "I'm extremely glad that my driving could bring victory to the country, which means the reputation of the country as well," said Kittiwong Kaewbumrung, 20, the driver of Team ATE. "I tried so hard to practise driving over the past three months."
